GETTING STARTEDHow to Start Forex Trading in the UAE with MT5
If you want to know how to start forex trading in the UAE, the work is a short sequence, not a stack of indicators. You learn what a pair and a candle are, you install MetaTrader 5, and you open an account with a broker you can name. Understand the chart before you touch New Order.
Learn the words before you fund an account
You can study before you deposit. A beginner forex course in Dubai covers pairs, pips, lots, candlesticks, market structure, and risk, in that order. Read how a candle is built, then how swing highs and lows define a trend, then how much to risk on one trade. If you skip to a setup, the buttons in MT5 will not mean anything when you press them.
The live version of that sequence is the Basic to Intermediate track on the courses page. The articles are the written form. They are not a replacement for someone watching your chart. If the platform is already installed and you are deciding between a demo balance and a funded one, read demo versus live on MT5 before you deposit.
You need a platform and a broker
To start trading you need the MT5 platform and a live account with a trusted broker. Practical sessions at Equity Fin Academy use StarTrader, regulated by the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority. Register on that page. Verify your identity with the documents StarTrader asks for, then fund the account. The academy does not set the deposit amount, and it does not hold the funds. The course fee, quoted when you enquire, is separate from the broker account.
Install MetaTrader 5 from an official source
Download MT5 for a computer from metatrader5.com. On a phone, install MetaTrader 5 from the App Store or Google Play. Those are the official sources. A file someone forwards in a chat is not one of them. The classroom uses this same platform, so the buttons you learn in Dubai match the buttons at home.
Log in with what the broker sends you
StarTrader sends a server name, a login, and a password. Type those into MT5. Do not guess a server name, and do not invent a login. If the connection fails, the fix is the email from the broker, or a message to the academy on +971 55 904 7030. A different password you make up will not open the account.
What to look at first inside MT5
- Market Watch is the list of symbols. Majors such as EURUSD sit there. Right-click a symbol and open a chart.
- The chart is the candlesticks from the reading above. Change the timeframe from the toolbar. A higher timeframe is calmer while you are learning structure. The class does not start you on a one-minute chart.
- New Order is the ticket: symbol, volume, and an optional stop loss and take profit. Volume is the size of the trade. If you cannot yet say how that size relates to the stop, leave the ticket and read the risk guide before you send it.
- The Toolbox, sometimes labelled Terminal, shows open positions and the account history. That history is the start of a journal: what you saw, what you did, and whether the size was chosen before the entry.
None of those panels is a strategy. They are the desk you will use while you learn the mistakes that show up once a ticket is live, and later smart money concepts once structure is already visible.
Then let someone watch you do it
A platform walkthrough is not a course. When you want the sequence taught live, book the Basic to Intermediate group class, or a private one-to-one lesson if you would rather work on your own chart. Both run in Dubai, UAE, and online across the UAE, with live trading sessions. The academy is open 24/7. Ask for the next dates and the fee. If you are choosing between the two rooms, read private versus group forex classes in Dubai before you call. The offer itself is on private and group training.
If you are still deciding whether any school is worth paying, use how to choose a forex training academy in the UAE. The Dubai academy page covers the in-person option, and online study covers learning from elsewhere in the UAE. The instructor is Gopi Chandran.
Equity Fin Academy is rated 5.0 on Google from 30+ reviews. The Equity Global channel has 200+ YouTube reviews and comments. More than 2,000 students have been trained through that channel and live mentorship. Those figures are reach and a public rating. They are not a promise about your trades.
When the platform is installed, the class itself is the forex training academy Dubai and the forex training academy UAE.
